Job Opportunity – Medical ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation or Nights), 2:1 patient ratio, 72-hour orientation

Highlights:

• Medical Intensive Care Unit caring for hemodynamically compromised adult and geriatric patients
• Advanced critical care including mechanical ventilation, CRRT, pulmonary artery catheter placement, and complex medication regimens
• Epic charting system required; 24-bed unit with 23 average daily census
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Experience with chemotherapy administration, clinical trials, plasmapheresis, bronchoscopy, and endoscopy procedures
• Variable weekend shifts based on unit needs; two pre-approved time off periods available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Active Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
• Epic charting system proficiency required
• Demonstrated competency with ventilator management, IV starts, arterial line management, central line care, and vasoactive drip titration
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, continuous IV sedation, and blood product administration
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
