Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026 (additional start dates: May 4 or May 18, 2026)
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), every other weekend and some holidays required

- 18-bed Neuroscience ICU at a Magnet-designated facility and Wisconsin's #1 ranked hospital
- Comprehensive Stroke Center specializing in critically ill adult patients with neuro diagnoses including stroke, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery care
- 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts with strong interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system with specialized equipment including EVD, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitoring
- Collaborate with nationally certified physicians in a nurse-driven, team-oriented environment
- Experience with advanced interventions including hemodynamic monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and dysrhythmia management
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact license (must be in hand at submittal)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the past 3 years in this specialty
- Required experience with ICP or ventricular drain management
- Epic charting system experience required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and must pass telemetry examination prior to start (strict passing criteria apply)
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
