Description
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 12-hour shifts (6:40 AM – 7:10 PM), every weekend, no call
Highlights:
- Tier 1 multiple specialty operating room with focus on cardiac, transplant, endovascular, trauma, and emergency cases
- Specialized procedures include ECMO, cardiac surgery, kidney and liver transplants, laparoscopic cases, and trauma surgeries
- Epic charting system in a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma Center
- 40-hour orientation with opportunities to work across multiple service lines
- 25-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Up to two weeks of pre-approved time off available during assignment
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of application)
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Minimum of two years acute care experience within the last three years in specialty area
- At least three years of overall nursing experience preferred
- Experience with thoracic, transplant, vascular, or cardiac procedures strongly preferred
- Competency with multiple service lines including trauma, transplant, cardiac, and peripheral vascular highly desired
- Previous charge experience and Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Must pass required telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to float to all service lines and learn emergency case protocols
