Location: Augusta, Georgia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; patient ratio typically 1:2 with free charge nurse support

Highlights:

• Specialized 10-bed Cardiovascular ICU caring for complex cardiac patients including LVADs, balloon pumps, Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary pacemakers, and CRRT
• Collaborative care model with intensivist present Monday–Friday and daily multidisciplinary rounds at 10 a.m.
• Titration of cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and sedation for intubated patients
• Epic EMR system with average daily census of 7 patients
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Up to 7 days of requested time off available (blackout: April 4–12)

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience
• Experience with cardiovascular patient populations including post-cardiac surgery, CABG, TAVR, valve repair/replacement, and ventricular assist devices
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, IABP, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
• Willingness to float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Availability to work major holidays per facility policy
