Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, seizures, subdural hematomas, and traumatic brain injuries
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with daily census of approximately 50 patients
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 13-week contract with 36-hour orientation period
• Collaborative environment with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Specialized 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit on-site

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience required
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license required at start
• Certifications: BLS, NIH, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and Med/Surg neuro care
• Must be comfortable floating to other Med/Surg and telemetry areas as needed
• Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
