Description
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (0730-1800, with some early shifts 0630-1700). One late shift per week to complete last patient of the day. Call coverage 1 night per week. Weekend requirement: 1 weekend every other month.
Highlights:
- Work in a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Comprehensive case mix including cardiac stents, PCI, TAVR, Watchman, ASD closures, and vascular interventions
- Epic charting system with MAC LAB, CUPID, Pyxis, and SBAR communication protocols
- 24-hour orientation with scrubs provided and self-scheduling environment
- Daily census of approximately 30 patients across 5 procedure rooms
- Float opportunities within the hospital system as needed based on census and skillset
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (pending at submission, required at start)
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and rotablator atherectomy
- Strong skills in scrub and circulating procedures, procedural sedation, sheath removal/monitoring, topical hemostasis devices, and vascular closure systems
- Experience with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, thrombolytics, and reversal agents
- Competency in dysrhythmia interpretation/management, cardioversion, ACT monitoring, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring
- Comfort with floating to other units within the hospital system based on skillset and census needs
- Two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months highly preferred
