Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Specialize in acute hemodialysis with a 9-station unit plus one isolation station
• Work with a patient population including end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, and peritoneal dialysis patients
• 1:1 to 1:2 patient ratios for focused, high-quality care
• No traditional call requirement; may be assigned tasks within division departments based on census
• Utilize Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
• 24-hour unit orientation including ICU/offsite and dialysis room training

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Recent acute hemodialysis experience with Fresenius equipment (within 1 year preferred)
• Peritoneal dialysis experience with Baxter equipment required
• Night shift RNs must be competent with cycler, CAPD, obtaining PD fluid samples, and hemodialysis
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CDN or CNN certifications preferred
• Active NC or Compact RN license (pending at submission acceptable; must be in hand at start)
• Familiarity with Epic documentation system preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
