Schedule: 12-hour shifts with weekend rotation (every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs); 36-hour orientation provided

Highlights:

• Labor and Delivery unit averaging 6–8 deliveries per day with 13 patient rooms
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for optimal care delivery
• Epic EMR system; interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
• Diverse case mix including inductions, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, and high-risk antepartum
• 320-bed acute care hospital with 2 dedicated ORs for the unit
• May float to Mother Baby unit to support hospital needs

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 1.5–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced (required), BLS, and NRP
• Epic charting experience required
• Expert-level proficiency in sterile vaginal exams and ability to perform independently without supervision
• Demonstrated experience in triage of obstetrical patients
• Competency in fetal monitoring (external and internal), IV therapy, high-risk deliveries, C-section assistance, and postpartum care
• Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
