Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule

Highlights:

• 41-bed progressive care trauma and telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio with hemodynamically stable trauma patients
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Telemetry monitoring capability for up to 14 patients on the unit
• Care for diverse surgical trauma patients including motor vehicle crashes, falls, penetrating injuries, and orthopedic trauma
• Pre-assignment modules are billable up to 16 hours

Requirements:

• Active RN license in South Carolina
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent progressive care or telemetry experience (2 years required for first-time travelers)
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line care, chest tubes, wound care, tracheostomy care, and high-flow oxygen management
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions; COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility (specific distance requirements apply based on specialty and shift)
