Job Opportunity – Medical Laboratory Scientist – Texas

Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Tyler, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Saturday through Monday, 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM (full-time, weekend position)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or equivalent credentials meeting CLIA requirements
  • Current certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
  • One year of clinical laboratory experience including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids (waived for NAACLS-accredited program graduates)
  • Strong expertise in Transfusion Services and Blood Banking procedures
  • New graduates who are board eligible must complete certification within one year of hire
