Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with weekend on-call rotation

Highlights:

• Outpatient hospice setting with an average census of 63 patients and approximately 5 home visits per day
• Minimum 13-week contract with 40 hours per week available
• Epic charting system experience required
• On-call rotation covers Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) approximately every 4-5 weeks, supported by a nurse triage service
• No floating required; work exclusively within the hospice program
• 40 hours of comprehensive orientation provided in addition to health system onboarding

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Home health/hospice and skilled nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated competency in end-of-life care, including cultural awareness and after-treatment care
• Strong pain management and medication administration skills, including WHO Analgesic Ladder, breakthrough dosing, pain assessment, and utilization of pain scales
• Proficiency in symptom assessment and management, including altered mental status, anorexia/cachexia, constipation/diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, and pressure ulcer staging
• Knowledge of Medicare state regulations, patient/family education, goal setting, and intake assessment processes
• First-time travelers accepted
