Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day shift, 06:45–19:15 | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Care for post-surgical patients including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, and spine procedures
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs with input from nurse manager; block scheduling requests reviewed case-by-case
• 13-week contract with 36-hour orientation period
• Occasional float within the health system based on skillset and census needs

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, central line management, blood product administration, wound care, surgical drain management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
