Job Opportunity – Oncology/PCU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, or combination based on facility needs); self-scheduling with unit-based review every 4 weeks; weekend coverage variable

Highlights:

• Work in a 318-bed comprehensive cancer center with specialized oncology units
• Float to multiple oncology specialties including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
• PCU staffing ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 with mixed acuity; Med/Surg Telemetry 1:4 to 1:5
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 100 hours of orientation including one week of day shift orientation followed by bedside training
• Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of high acuity PCU level or higher experience required (current and consistent within the last 12 months)
• Oncology experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Patient ratio experience managing up to 4 patients
• Strong skills in chemotherapy administration and monitoring, port management, central line care, blood product administration, and oncology-specific procedures preferred
• 2 professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
