Job Opportunity – Palliative Care Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day/Night or Night shift, rotating schedule based on department needs; 4:1 patient ratio; 72 hours orientation

• Epic EMR system with robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with focus on pain management, dignity, and quality of life
• Opportunity to enhance palliative care skills while maintaining high-acuity med-surg competencies

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Experience with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain interventions and equianalgesic dosing of opioids
• Proficiency in IV management, phlebotomy, oxygen administration, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
