Description
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Days/Nights or Nights, rotating available; 12-hour shifts; 4:1 patient ratio; weekend coverage as needed per unit needs

- Enhance your palliative care skills while gaining valuable experience floating to high-acuity med-surg units during initial training period
- Epic EMR system with 72 hours of comprehensive orientation
- Collaborative interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Opportunity to provide patient-centered care emphasizing dignity, comfort, and quality of life for adult and geriatric populations
- Experience managing pain interventions, equianalgesic opioid dosing, and symptom management for patients with uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, fatigue, and failure to thrive
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred
- Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Experience with pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain interventions and equianalgesic dosing of opioids
- Skills in IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, and oxygen administration
- Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
