Description
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Days/Nights or Nights (as operationally needed), rotating 12-hour shifts, 4:1 patient ratio, 72 hours orientation

- Epic charting system required; extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Float to various inpatient units prior to unit opening and as needed thereafter, providing exposure to diverse patient populations
- Comprehensive orientation with focus on pharmacologic and non-pharmacological pain interventions and equianalgesic opioid dosing
- Patient-centered care environment emphasizing dignity, comfort, and holistic symptom management for adults and geriatric populations
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience required
- Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel experience strongly preferred
- Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Experience with IV management, phlebotomy, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Important Notes:
- Strict compliance requirements with Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
- Compliance deadline is the Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
- Prior to unit opening on July 1, travelers will float to inpatient units to gain experience with patient populations
- Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
- Former employees must have been away from facility for 6+ months to be eligible

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
