Job Opportunity – Palliative Care RN – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Days/Nights or Nights (as operationally needed), rotating 12-hour shifts, 4:1 patient ratio, 72 hours orientation

• Float to various inpatient units prior to unit opening and as needed thereafter, providing exposure to diverse patient populations
• Comprehensive orientation with focus on pharmacologic and non-pharmacological pain interventions and equianalgesic opioid dosing
• Patient-centered care environment emphasizing dignity, comfort, and holistic symptom management for adults and geriatric populations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience with IV management, phlebotomy, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Two professional references required (one must be from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

• Prior to unit opening on July 1, travelers will float to inpatient units to gain experience with patient populations
• Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
• Former employees must have been away from facility for 6+ months to be eligible
