Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), 36 or 48 hours per week available; Every other weekend minimum (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Highlights:

• High-volume birthing center with over 300 births per month and an average of 20 births per 24-hour period
• Fast-paced environment caring for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care
• 2:1 patient ratios with 30–40 admits daily and obstetrical triage capabilities
• Epic charting system with interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
• 13–26 week contract options available with 24-hour orientation provided
• May float to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years strongly preferred
• Experience in high-volume settings with over 300 births per month is essential
• Must be comfortable with double labor assignments, which occur daily
• Skills: Ability to circulate for C-sections, perform sterile vaginal exams, and provide competent immediate newborn care
• Certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM), and NRP required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• North Carolina or Compact license (must be active by start date)
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in large, high-volume similar settings
