Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights or nights), 36 hours per week; weekend requirements vary based on unit needs; self-scheduling with request input

Highlights:

• Specializing in hematology oncology patients including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other hematologic conditions
• Comprehensive procedures including chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, management of oncologic emergencies, and drip protocols
• Goal staffing ratio of 1:4, maximum 1:5; 36-bed unit with average daily census of 31 patients
• Epic charting system; 72 hours of orientation including initial week of dayshift classroom training followed by precepted on-unit experience
• Strong interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services
• ONS certification preferred with additional compensation incentive

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical experience required; at least 1 year of current specialty experience within the last 3 years
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; OCN preferred
• Competency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line/PICC line management, and peripheral IV starts
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical and Oncology units as needed
• 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
