Job Opportunity – Bone Marrow Transplant Oncology Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights based on departmental needs); reviewed every 4-week scheduling period

Highlights:

• Specialized 36-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit treating complex hematology/oncology patient populations
• Advanced treatment modalities including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, and respiratory services
• 72-hour orientation with float opportunities to other medical-surgical oncology units
• Patient diagnoses include ALL, AML, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, leukemias, and myelodysplastic syndromes
• Daily census of 33 patients across mixed acuity progressive care and medical-surgical settings

Requirements:

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of current specialty experience
• Medical-surgical and oncology experience required (minimum 1 year); hematology/oncology strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification and Oncology Certification preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line management, PICC lines, and port care
• Epic charting system experience required
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references including at least 1 from a manager or formal leadership role
