Location: Jackson, Tennessee

Schedule: 36-hour orientation; 12-hour shifts with patient ratios of 4–5; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; holiday coverage required

Highlights:

• Progressive care unit specializing in cardiac and pulmonary telemetry with a 42-bed capacity and average daily census of 40 patients
• Comprehensive case mix including post-cardiac catheterization, post-MI, cardiac telemetry monitoring, and pulmonary care
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide; recent Epic experience mandatory
• Float opportunities to other medical-surgical/telemetry units or low-acuity ICU settings as needed
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and lift teams
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate as experienced travel nurses

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience within the last 12 months required and must be clearly documented on application; competency exam required (one attempt)
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required prior to submission
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccination required (no exemptions accepted)
• Clinical skills including cardiac telemetry interpretation, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, central line care, blood product administration, and post-catheterization care
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, and ventilated patients preferred
