Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular OR Nurse (CVOR RN) – Ohio

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 2x8 hour shifts and 2x12 hour shifts per week, 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM with call coverage; flexible scheduling based on unit needs

Highlights:

• Work in a specialized cardiovascular and transplant operating room supporting a leading heart and vascular center
• Diverse case mix including CABG, valve replacements, AAA repairs, aortic dissections, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, amputations, and ECMO
• Both open and endovascular procedures performed, including robotic-assisted cardiac surgery
• 7 operating rooms dedicated to advanced cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Call coverage distributed equitably on a 4-week rotation basis; weekend call divided into 12-hour blocks

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 3 years overall OR experience
• Minimum 2 years cardiac, vascular, and transplant experience
• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience
• Minimum 1 year Level I Trauma facility experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC required
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Must provide 2 professional references, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
