Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Stroke/Medical-Surgical Unit – Tennessee

Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Maryville, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 18:45–07:15, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend coverage

Highlights:

• Specialized stroke and high-acuity medical-surgical unit with 30 beds and average daily census of 27
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shift
• EPIC EMR and Omnicell medication system
• Strong focus on patient experience with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• 24 hours of orientation provided; pre-assignment modules reimbursable up to 16 hours
• Floating to other units may be required based on census and skill set

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee RN license required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility to be eligible for travel rates
