Description
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 5x8 Days (Monday-Friday business hours with weekend rotation); shift times vary between 0700-1700; every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule
Highlights:
- Work at a prestigious Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
- Focus on discharge planning and care coordination across multiple patient populations including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Epic EMR system required; 24 hours of orientation provided
- 13-week assignment with guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week pay period
- Manage caseload of approximately 50 patients with strong interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, social services, PT, and rapid response teams
- Free parking provided at facility
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license in hand (required for offer)
- BLS certification (preferred)
- ACM (Accredited Case Manager) certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Flexibility to float within case manager services to meet facility needs
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty
