Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room / PACU – Northern California

Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Northern California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time with on-call responsibilities; 2 days per week on-call including holidays and weekends; 3 weekend on-call 24-hour shifts per month

Highlights:

• Dual-role position requiring both circulating and recovery room experience in a rural hospital setting
• Exposure to diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 3-room surgical suite with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
• Epic charting system preferred; 24-hour orientation provided
• Endoscopy experience required; broad surgical case mix including general OR, ambulatory procedures, and video-assisted thoracic surgery
• One pre-approved time off period available during contract

Requirements:

• Valid California RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR/PACU experience in a comparable specialty and setting
• Endoscopy experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Ability to both circulate in the operating room and recover patients in PACU
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Availability for on-call shifts including weekends and holidays
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius to qualify for travel assignment
