Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological diagnoses
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with 50+ average daily census
• Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• 13-week contract with 36 hours of orientation provided
• Floating required to other Med/Surg or Telemetry areas based on unit needs
• Modern facility with specialty Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and comprehensive neuroscience services

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical/Surgical experience required
• Previous travel experience required – facility will not accept first-time travelers
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (required in hand by start date)
• Current BLS, NIH, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with neuro patient populations preferred
