Description
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required
Highlights:
- Primary neuroscience unit specializing in stroke care, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological diagnoses
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with 50+ average daily census
- Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- 13-week contract with 36 hours of orientation provided
- Floating required to other Med/Surg or Telemetry areas based on unit needs
- Modern facility with specialty Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and comprehensive neuroscience services
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical/Surgical experience required
- Previous travel experience required – facility will not accept first-time travelers
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (required in hand by start date)
- Current BLS, NIH, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
- Competency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Epic charting experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with neuro patient populations preferred
