Description
Start Date: April 27, 2026
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time, flexible shift options available including day shift (5:00 AM – 1:30 PM) and evening shift (1:00 PM – 9:30 PM). Shifts vary based on department needs.
Highlights:
- Work as a generalist across multiple laboratory sections including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking, Microbiology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids
- Opportunity to work with advanced instrumentation including Sysmex and Abbott Alinity platforms
- Utilize EPIC Laboratory Information System for streamlined workflows
- Perform both routine and complex laboratory procedures with full scope of practice
- Cross-training opportunities available to expand skill set across laboratory departments
- Professional development support for maintaining board certifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or equivalent from an accredited institution (or equivalent U.S. Military laboratory training of at least 50 weeks)
- Active certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS (new graduates who are board-eligible must complete certification within 1 year of hire)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a laboratory generalist preferred
- One year of clinical laboratory experience including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids (or completion of NAACLS-approved clinical laboratory training program)
- Experience with Sysmex analyzers, Abbott Alinity systems, and EPIC EMR is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills for laboratory instrumentation and equipment
