Description
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights); shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on unit needs
Highlights:
- 36-bed BMT and Hematology-Oncology unit with mixed acuity PCU and medical-surgical patients
- Specialized patient population including ALL, AML, multiple myeloma, lymphomas, aplastic anemia, and other complex hematologic conditions
- Advanced treatment modalities including autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
- Epic EMR experience required; 72 hours of orientation provided
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
- Float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience; at least 1 year of current medical-surgical and oncology experience required
- Hematology-oncology experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
- Core skills: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line/PICC line management, feeding tube care, port access and management
- Nursing degree must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
