Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Southern California

Start Date: May 19, 2026
Location: Fullerton, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Varied shifts in an outpatient surgery center; post-shift call required 1800-2100 as needed; patient ratio 1:2

Highlights:

• Outpatient surgery center setting adjacent to a 320-bed acute care hospital
• Specialized focus on ophthalmology procedures including cataract extractions, plus orthopedics, robotics, plastics, podiatry, GYN, and general surgery
• Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery experience required
• Epic charting system; daily census approximately 30 patients across 7 operating rooms
• Free parking provided; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including interpretation services
• First-time travelers accepted with 5 years of PACU experience

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 3 years of PACU experience required
• Strong ophthalmology background required
• Phase I and Phase II PACU recovery experience mandatory
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Skills must include airway assessment, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia recognition, medication reconciliation, pain management, and IV placement/maintenance
• LA County Fire Card obtained within the last 30 days
• Two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years
