Description
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00am–7:30pm, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required
Highlights:
- Work in a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center recognized as Wisconsin's top-ranked hospital
- 29-bed progressive care unit specializing in telemetry oncology, cardiac, and post-transplant care
- Care for specialty populations including cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and lung transplant patients
- 3:1 patient ratio with both general care and IMC-level patients requiring critical thinking and advanced skills
- Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and more
- Epic EMR system with 36 hours of orientation provided
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submittal)
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
- Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and transplant experience required – must be strongly proficient
- Level I or II Trauma Center experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Must successfully pass pre-employment telemetry exam with strict passing criteria
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information:
- One pre-approved time off period available (manager approval required)
- Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
- Orientation held every other week, typically lasting one week
