Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Work in a comprehensive stroke center specializing in complex neurological care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 (may flex to 3:1 during high census)
• Average daily census of 11-12 patients in a 13-bed unit
• No call requirement; floating within facility required
• 13-week contract available with up to 7 days pre-approved time off
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required (general ICU does not qualify)
• Strong background in stroke patient care and neuro critical care essential
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• North Carolina or Compact state nursing license
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency required in: ventilator management, IV starts, blood product administration, central line care, continuous IV sedation, external ventricular drains (EVD), ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, CVA/acute stroke management, post-neurosurgery care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
