Job Opportunity – Correctional Registered Nurse – New Mexico

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week with 36 hours guaranteed; every other weekend required; block scheduling available

Highlights:

• Work in a correctional healthcare setting serving an average daily population of 1,640 patients
• Provide comprehensive care including routine healthcare, emergency response, health assessments, triage, and detoxification protocols
• Charting system: Cerner EMR for streamlined documentation
• Contract length: Minimum 10 weeks; 13-week assignments available with potential for extension
• MOAB certification provided by facility during first week orientation if not already certified
• Interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, interpretation services, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Current New Mexico RN license or compact license (provisional licenses not accepted; pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; Emergency Department, Med/Surg, or Corrections experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• MOAB certification required or willingness to complete 4-hour de-escalation course during orientation
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV insertion and maintenance, high-flow nasal cannula, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, and wound care
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from facility; personal transportation required
• Must pass facility background check
• Flu vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
