Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, self-scheduling with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; staffing ratios goal of 1:4, may flex to 1:5

Highlights:

• Caring for adults and geriatric patients with solid tumor cancers across the full spectrum of their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care
• Telemetry monitoring experience required; common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers
• Epic electronic medical record system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 72-hour orientation with dedicated preceptor support after initial week of dayshift training
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; strong med-surg foundation welcomed
• One pre-approved time off request available during contract

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required, with at least 1 year of current specialty experience
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system required
• Experience with IV starts, central line blood draws, port access/management, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, and isolation precautions
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor
