Job Opportunity – Wound and Ostomy Nurse – California

Start Date: May 12, 2026
Location: Newport Beach, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Highlights:

• Serve as the clinical resource for ostomy, continence disorders, acute and chronic wound care, and skin breakdown management
• Provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including pre- and post-operative education
• Lead hospital initiatives to assess and eliminate hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs)
• Collaborate with the healthcare team on product evaluation and deliver educational programs and in-services
• Local travel required; must be a licensed and insured driver in good standing
• Opportunity to stay current with advancing wound and skin care practices and share innovations with nursing staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Current Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (CWON) certification required
• Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience
• Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in wound and ostomy care
• Strong interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication, and demonstrated initiative
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols
