Job Opportunity – Endoscopy Registered Nurse – New Mexico

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week with 1:1 patient ratios; 1-2 late shifts per week to cover running cases (typically until 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM); no weekend requirement

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center with 554 staffed beds; teaching hospital environment
• Diverse case mix including screening and surveillance colonoscopies, EGDs, esophageal manometries, anorectal manometries, pH studies, and paracentesis
• Experience with conscious sedation, circulation, and telemetry skills preferred
• Cerner EMR system; scrubs provided
• Minimum 10-week contract; first-time travelers accepted
• Float within endoscopy units only to meet facility needs

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico RN license or ability to obtain (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy nursing experience
• BCLS and ACLS certifications (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation
• Proficiency with colonoscopy and EGD procedures, specimen handling, and IV therapy
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from facility
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted with documentation); flu vaccination required (exemptions available)
