Description
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 1:6 patient ratio, every other weekend required, 13-26 week assignments available
Highlights:
- Medical Surgical unit with Oncology patient population, daily census of 42 beds
- Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration experience required (IV, PO, and injection routes)
- Comprehensive orientation with 24 hours of training over 2 shifts
- Access to robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and more
- Experience with EPIC charting system and PYXIS medication management
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of RN experience
Requirements:
- Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license required by start date)
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience in Medical Surgical setting
- BLS certification and Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
- Proficiency in accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and wound care
- Experience with colostomy care, surgical drains, chest tubes, isolation precautions, and airway management
- Willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations including ED inpatient holding areas
- Availability to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team and respond during catastrophic events as needed
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
