Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; weekdays with every other weekend required; 36 or 48 hour contract options available

Highlights:

• 29-bed unit caring for adult medical and surgical patients with cancer, palliative care needs, and urological conditions; telemetry monitoring included
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 during day shifts; opportunities for blocked schedule requests
• Charting system: Cerner EMR in a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital
• 36 hours guaranteed per week; 13-week travel assignment with contract options
• Strong candidates without oncology experience will be considered; chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not mandatory
• IV team support available; interdisciplinary care environment focused on compassionate oncology care

Requirements:

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN License (pending license acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required; ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, central line draws, ports, blood administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assistance, and Pleurx chest tubes
• Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references within the past 2 years
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (75-99 miles considered on case-by-case basis)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption provided; COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Cannot have worked as permanent employee at this health system within the past 2 years
