Description
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on unit needs
Highlights:
- Specialized 36-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit with mixed acuity progressive care and medical-surgical patients
- Exposure to advanced oncology treatments including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
- Daily census of 33 patients across a range of hematologic malignancies and blood disorders
- Epic charting system in use; 72-hour comprehensive orientation provided
- Interdisciplinary team support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
- Float opportunities to other medical-surgical oncology units for varied clinical experience
Requirements:
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year of current medical-surgical and oncology experience required
- Hematology oncology experience strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central/PICC line management, and feeding tube care
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references, including at least 1 manager or director-level reference
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Please note: Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately upon contract signing. Strict compliance deadlines apply. Former employees must be away from the facility for 6+ months to be eligible. Local candidates accepted at the same rate.

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
