Job Opportunity – Dialysis RN – New Mexico

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week; 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required; night and Sunday call for emergent dialysis

Highlights:

• Work in a five-bay dialysis unit treating 13-15 patients daily, plus 2-4 bedside treatments
• Manage acute inpatient hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and ESRD/AKI patient populations
• Three shifts per day (occasionally four based on census); guaranteed 36 or 48 hours weekly
• Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital with 554 staffed beds
• Charting system: Cerner; equipment includes Gambro Phoenix and Tablo HD machines
• Minimum 10-week contract; first-time travelers accepted with 1 year of dialysis experience

Requirements:

• Active New Mexico RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience
• Competency with AV fistula and graft cannulation, acute care inpatient dialysis, and hemodialysis procedures
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis and management of anticoagulation preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from facility
