Job Opportunity – Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Tech – New Mexico

Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, outpatient focus, no call required, no weekend requirements, no floating

Highlights:

• Work in a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital with 554 staffed beds
• Outpatient pediatric cardiac sonography in a 3-room department with daily census of 30 and approximately 8 visits per day
• Charting system: Cerner; scrub color: maroon/wine; free parking provided
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with professional interdisciplinary support including interpretation services and rapid response teams
• Minimum 10-week contract with opportunity for extensions
• First-time travelers welcome; block schedules may be accommodated based on facility needs

Requirements:

• ARDMS or CCI certification required (ARDMS RDCS PE or CCI RCCS preferred)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience required
• Proficiency in 2-D echo, color/continuous wave/pulsed wave Doppler, M-Mode, bubble studies, and scanning complex congenital anomalies
• Experience with pediatric cases including post-surgical repairs, coarctation of the aorta, tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of great vessels, and hypoplastic heart syndrome
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius of facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID vaccination not required
• Valid non-local driver's license or documented transportation plan required
