Description
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week contract, no call required, rotating weekends
Highlights:
- 24-bed postpartum unit with patient ratios of 3:1 to 4:1, occasionally 2:1 based on acuity
- Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff and dedicated charge nurse support
- Dual EMR system experience with Meditech and CPN
- Diverse skill development including non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips
- No Patient Care Technicians on night shift – RN-driven care model
- 13-week assignment with potential for permanent placement opportunities
Requirements:
- Current Texas RN license or compact state license
- BLS certification (required)
- Previous Labor & Delivery or Antepartum experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Navy blue scrubs required
