Job Opportunity – RN Labor and Delivery – Texas

Start Date: May 11, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, night shift with rotating weekends; no call requirements

Highlights:

• 13-week contract assignment in a high-volume, 32-bed Level IV Labor and Delivery unit
• 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio ensuring quality care and manageable workload
• Exposure to diverse case mix including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC procedures
• Advanced equipment including Novii, JADA, fetal pillow, IUPC, FSE, and ultrasound technology
• Meditech EMR system with supportive charge nurse and co-charge nurse on every shift
• Opportunities for permanent positions available for exceptional candidates

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Intermediate fetal monitoring certification required
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), sterile vaginal exams (SVE), and C-section circulation
• Internal monitor placement competency preferred
• Previous HCA experience is a plus
