Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, 13-26 week contracts available

• Medical Surgical unit with oncology patient population; primary focus on general med/surg diagnoses with chemotherapy administration
• Target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on a 42-bed unit
• Epic EMR system with 24-hour orientation period (2 shifts)
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, lift teams, and more
• Flexibility for first-time travelers and local candidates accepted
• Opportunity to work with complex patient diagnoses including sepsis, DKA with insulin drips, AKI, and wound care

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience in an inpatient setting
• Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC) required – must be able to administer chemotherapy
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in Med/Surg skills including: colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, surgical drains, chest tubes, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
• Must be comfortable floating to similar units and alternate care locations including the ED when needed
• Willingness to serve on Storm/Hurricane Team and respond during catastrophic events or disasters
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
