Job Opportunity – Hospice Admissions RN – North Carolina

Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 40 hours per week; No call or weekend requirement

Highlights:

  • Conduct 2–3 outpatient hospice admissions per day in field and hospital settings
  • Work with Epic EMR system; Dorothy/Comfort experience highly preferred
  • 13-week travel contract with approximately 80 hours of orientation over 2–3 weeks
  • Float between hospital and field locations; must be comfortable traveling in varied conditions
  • First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
  • Collaborative role working closely with Hospice Medical Director and interdisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of RN experience in home care or hospice setting required
  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina or Compact state (must be active by start date)
  • BLS certification required
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel between locations
  • Strong clinical assessment, writing, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience with intake assessments, patient/family education, and setting up DME, medications, and supplies
  • Skilled nursing and hospice admission LCD criteria knowledge preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
