Description
Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, rotating weekdays and weekends, rotating holidays
Highlights:
- Progressive Care Unit specializing in neurological patients including stroke, craniotomy, and traumatic brain injury
- Patient ratio of 1:4 on nights
- EPIC charting system in use
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
- Opportunity to work with advanced neurological procedures including TNK administration and lumbar drains
- Float opportunities within the hospital system to expand skill set
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC experience required
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Strong neuro skills including blood product administration, craniotomy care, CVA management, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, intracranial bleed care, post-TPA care, pre/post neurosurgery support, and traumatic brain injury care
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- 2 professional references required, including at least one manager or director-level reference
- Willingness to complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
