Job Opportunity – Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Jefferson, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; flexible 36 or 48-hour work weeks available; every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 24-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Self-scheduling flexibility with a supportive interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Experience with Meditech charting system, Omnicell medication management, and SBAR communication protocols
• No mandatory floating to other units; rare assignments as sitter or monitor tech only as needed
• Work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Opportunity to care for patients with a wide range of diagnoses including CVA, renal failure, and post-surgical cases

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at start date)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs, isolation precautions, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with wound care, surgical drains, non-invasive airway management, and heparin administration
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
