Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Primary neuroscience unit caring for stroke patients, epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, and neurosurgical patients
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 55-bed unit with approximately 50 daily census
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management
• 13-week contract with 36-hour orientation period
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Specialized Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) with 4 beds on-site

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year of direct Medical-Surgical experience required
• Prior travel experience required – first-time travelers will not be accepted (must have completed at least 2 successful contracts)
• Current North Carolina or Compact RN license
• BLS, NIH, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry areas as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
