Description
Start Date: June 8, 2026
Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment with call coverage (approximately 32 hours per month and one weekend per month with 24-hour call both days)
Highlights:
- Challenging cardiovascular caseload including open heart surgery, CABG, valve replacements (aortic, mitral, and pulmonic), TAVR, and advanced procedures
- Scrub required for open CVOR cases; circulate and TAVR experience highly preferred
- Exposure to specialized devices including Impella, HeartMate, ECMO, and laser lead extractions
- Epic charting system with comprehensive orientation and training modules
- May float to Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled during shift
- Scrubs provided
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience required
- BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
- Strong scrub skills for open heart cases required; circulating and TAVR skills highly preferred
- Knowledge of Impella, HeartMate devices, ECMO, laser lead extractions, and TAVR procedures
- Travel nursing experience highly preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during assignment

- Orientation includes approximately 18 hours of non-billable modules and 4 hours of Epic training completed prior to start date
