Job Opportunity – Neuro ICU Travel Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: June 29, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week), day/night rotation every 4 weeks, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Specialized neuro-critical care with 1:1-2 patient ratios
• Complex case mix including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, post-neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury patients
• Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and lift teams
• Advanced neuro-monitoring experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
• 13-week travel assignment with on-call requirements and floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Parking permit options available ranging from $15.67 to $215.20 per month

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Core skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, intracranial pressure monitoring
• Previous travel nursing experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Must be available to begin orientation on scheduled start date with strict compliance deadlines
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
