Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday required; flexible scheduling requests must be approved prior to offer

Highlights:

• Cardiovascular ICU with fresh post-operative open heart cases including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, and TAVR procedures
• 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio depending on acuity; ratios may vary when floated to other units
• Advanced cardiac equipment experience required: Impella, IABP, CRRT with Prismax, Swan Ganz, FloTrac, and temporary pacers
• Comprehensive patient mix including ventilated patients, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and acute/chronic renal failure
• Epic charting system preferred; strong interdisciplinary support including respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float opportunities to all ICU levels, PACU, ED for ICU holds, and cardiac intermediate care units

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience (SICU experience may be considered with CVICU training)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with post-operative open heart recovery, including fresh cases such as CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR
• Proficiency with advanced cardiac devices: must have experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax OR extensive fresh heart case experience
• Competency in arterial lines, Swan Ganz monitoring, FloTrac, temporary pacers, chest tubes, and ventilator management
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
