Description
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Northern Michigan
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time schedule with every other weekend requirement; possible on-call coverage
Highlights:
- Specialized cardiovascular unit caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually
- Advanced procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers
- Post-operative care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)
- Focus on congestive heart failure management and electrophysiology studies
- Unit awarded Silver level Beacon Award by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN)
- Facility recognized as a Top 50 Heart Hospital in the U.S.
Requirements:
- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 1 year of Step-down nursing experience
- Proficiency in cardiac nursing care
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application
